A carton measuring 50 cm × 40 cm × 30 cm has a volume of 60,000 cm³. With a 5000 divisor, 60,000 ÷ 5000 = 12 kg per carton. For 10 cartons, 12 × 10 = 120 kg volumetric weight.
For a 50 cm × 40 cm × 30 cm carton, a 5000 divisor gives 12.00 kg, while a 6000 divisor gives 10.00 kg. Mathematically, a smaller divisor produces a larger volumetric-weight result.
